East Arc Group Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

East Arc Group Pty Ltd (ABN 20 694 108 328, licensed electrical contractor BLD 356143) is a two-director electrical and lighting design business based in Adelaide, South Australia. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, where it is stored, and how you can get it back or have it removed.

We are a small business and we keep this simple, because our data handling is simple.

What we collect

When you use the contact form on this site, we ask you for:

The name, phone number and email are required. The other two are yours to fill in or leave blank.

The form also carries a hidden field designed to catch automated spam, which a real person never sees or fills in.

We do not ask for and do not want your date of birth, your identity documents, your financial or payment details, or any health information. If you include something in the message box that you would rather we did not keep, tell us and we will remove it.

When you simply browse this site, our analytics and advertising tools collect technical information about the visit. This is covered in the cookies section below.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, to arrange a site visit, and to prepare and send you a quote. That is the whole purpose. If you become a client, we keep your contact details for the ordinary running of the job and for our business and tax records afterwards.

We do not sell your information, we do not trade it, and we do not add you to a mailing list. Sending us an enquiry is not a subscription to anything. If we ever start a newsletter we will ask you separately and you will have to opt in.

Where it goes and who can see it

Netlify. This website is hosted by Netlify, and the contact form is handled by Netlify Forms. When you press send, your submission is transmitted to and stored by Netlify. Netlify is based in the United States and stores this data on servers in the United States, so submitting the form involves your information being sent overseas. Netlify also records technical details with each submission, such as the time it was sent and the internet (IP) address it came from, which helps filter out spam.

Microsoft 365. A notification email arrives in our Microsoft 365 mailbox, and that email is where we actually read and store your enquiry. Microsoft is a global provider and may store or process this data both in Australia and overseas.

Us. Only George Pappas and Arie Minenko, the two directors, have access to enquiries.

Suppliers and trades, only when a job requires it. If we need to order materials to your address or arrange a specialist for your job, we will share only what that task needs, usually a name and an address.

Where the law requires it. For example, lodging an electrical Certificate of Compliance for work done at your property, which is a legal obligation on us as a licensed contractor.

That is the complete list. Nobody else gets your details.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise the same browser on a later visit.

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where in the world they are. It is how we find out whether the site is working. The information is about visits and behaviour rather than about you as a named individual. We do not use it to identify you and we do not combine it with your enquiry.

This site also carries the Google Ads tag. We advertise on Google Search. The tag lets us see whether someone who clicked one of our ads went on to make an enquiry, so we can tell whether the advertising is worth paying for. It is measurement, not surveillance, and it does not tell us who you are.

Both are provided by Google and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

If you would rather not be measured, you have three options and all of them work:

  1. Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  2. Turn off ad personalisation in Google's Ads Settings.
  3. Block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The site works fine without them.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept for around 12 months and then deleted, because people often come back to a quote months later. If you become a client, we keep your records for at least seven years, which is what Australian business and tax record-keeping requires, and we keep electrical certification records for as long as we are obliged to.

Keeping it safe

Our email and files sit in Microsoft 365 with multi-factor authentication turned on, which means a password alone is not enough to get in. This website is served entirely over HTTPS, the encrypted version of the web, so anything you type into the contact form is encrypted in transit. Access is limited to the two directors.

No system is perfect and we will not pretend otherwise. If something ever went wrong in a way that could affect you, we would tell you.

Getting your information, correcting it, or having it deleted

Email or call George. Ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct something, or ask us to delete it, and we will action it within a reasonable time, normally a few days. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.

The only thing we cannot delete on request is a record we are legally required to keep, such as an invoice or an electrical certificate for work already carried out. We will tell you if that applies and delete everything else.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Links to other sites

This site links to our Instagram and to a small number of supplier and partner websites. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site under their privacy policy, not ours.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
